Fishing Gallery 1

The Summer of 2006 starts with a bang as Ed Kawasaki, Isaac (Ike) Brumaghim, creator of, and Mike Ichiyama chase down pelagics off of Oahu's North Shore. Will the run last through the summer? We certainly hope it will so the rest of us can see some action, too, now that things are starting to slow down a bit at work!

We'll see just how big this gallery gets!

Ike Brumaghim shows off his mahi caught 5/27/06!

Ed Kawasaki still holds the title for "Biggest Mahi", this one weighing in at 35 pounds!

Mike Ichiyama hits a giant barracuda on the north shore 6/10/06!

Ike Brumaghim boats a 19 lb. Uku (grey snapper) off Sunset Beach trolling with an akule.

Ed Kawasaki, Ike Brumaghim, and John Santiago pack their yaks and gear and fly over to the Big Island for a kayak fishing tournament... and get greeted by waters like on this Mahukona launch day!

Ike hooks up with an ulua!

Ike boats his ulua and holds it while contemplating his chances for winning in the tourney!

The weigh in results in Ike taking second in the bottom fishing class... way to go Ike!!

John Santiago shows off his uku.

Back on Oahu, Stuart Seto kayaked the nearshore waters and scored big-time with this giant omilu... looks ulua weight to me, Stu!

And thoughts of sashimi danced through his head while Stuart held up his beautiful kagami that matches his blue/white kayak!
